Jose Maria Sison: No Great Man, No Great Communist

It's two years since Jose Maria Sison or Joma Sison croaked. Yes, there's really no reason to call Joma to be a great man or a great Communist. We've had our great founders like Karl Marx though Vladimir Lenin knew economics better. Joseph Stalin, Frederick Engels, and Mao Zedong all contributed to Communism's rise worldwide. However, Joma is a cheap copy of Ho Chi Minh -- a cheap carbon copy! Uncle Ho gave us the Ho Chi Minh School of Thought. Nguyen Duy Cong, one of the many former Secretary-Generals of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) created Doi Moi to sustainably fund the state.

The Communist Party of the Philippines ends up as a cheap copy of the CPV. Take note that the CPV's armed wing is called the Vietnam People's Army (VPA). The CPP's armed wing is the New People's Army. Why should Joma be called a great man? Unlike Uncle Ho (the real deal), Joma never knew what it was like to be a true proletariat (Uncle Ho was a cook), never won a single war victory, and never overthrew the pathetic democracy that rules the Philippines. Joma could've had help from China and Vietnam. However, Joma failed to establish important alliances too.

Joma should be noted for being a blatant copycat of Ho. Gagabriela Women's Party was founded on Vietnam Women's Union's (VMU) 70th anniversary. A year later, Kabataan Pantylist was established as a cheap copy of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU). It's not to say Ho wasn't all-original. Ho studied several Communist thoughts before raising a revolution. Joma lacked originality and made the legal fronts way too obvious. Kabataan Pantylist has been wearing a similar uniform as the HCYU. Gagabriela also wears a similar uniform as the VMU. Other fronts that Joma copied are the Vietnam National Union of Students (to create the Lazy Filipino Students), Vietnam Teachers' Union (to create the Alliance of Complaining Teachers), and the Vietnam Institute of Economists (to create the IBON Foundation).

Joma never presented the Philippines with a plan to go forward either. Instead, he was stuck with protectionist idiotologies. He preferred to remain protectionist than to socialize as a Socialist. Duy Cong or known as Do Muoi adopted the Deng Xiaoping Thought. Deng Xiaoping decided that socialism can't work unless there are businessmen involved. The two great teachers of the Komunistang Sosyal gave this group ideas. These ideas are to render the CPP-NPA obsolete at all costs!

Joma doesn't deserve any international recognition either. Ho deserves the respect for his work in Vietnam. For Joma, he was nothing but a loser.
